Welcome to the Michelham Priory Lodge
The Michelham Priory Lodge is number 5059 in the register of the Grand Lodge of England and was founded in 1928. We are based in our own Lodge temple building in Herstmonceux in East Sussex and this means we are part of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex.
If you live or work in Herstmonceux, or in one of the nearby towns and villages, for example Hailsham, Heathfield, Horam, Pevensey, Polegate and you think that you might like to become a Freemason, then we would like to hear from you.
We have 6 regular meetings a year on the third Thursday of January, March, April, May, October and November.
We also meet for rehearsals on a Wednesday evening between September and May.
In addition to our Masonic meetings, we regularly get together socially, to have a good time and to raise money for charity.
Here’s a list of this year’s social events.
Is Freemasonry for you?
With over 200,000 United Grand Lodge (UGLE) members around the world, it is impossible to stereotype the average Freemason. Our members come from all walks of life and they span a wide social spectrum. However, we are careful about who joins us and we expect our members to hold strong values, particularly; integrity, kindness, honesty, fairness and tolerance.
To find out if Freemasonry is for you, go to the UGLE website and if you want to join us, contact our Lodge secretary.
